  • Ilja Laurs - Founder & Executive Chairman

    Ilja Laurs is the Founder and Chairman of GetJar, world’s largest independent mobile application store. “European Manager of the Year 2011” by European Business Press Association, “25 European Tech Leaders” by Wall Street Journal, “Top 40 most influential people in mobile communications” by Informa Telecoms and Media, “10 Start-ups That Will Change Your Life” by TIME magazine and “Technology Pioneer 2011” by World Economic Forum are only a few of his numerous industry achievements. As a recognized thought leader, Ilja speaks on all major telecommunication conferences and is regularly quoted in Wall Street Journal, Forbes, CNN, CNBC, BBC, Bloomberg and many other news sources. In February 2010, Ilja made the cover of the America's leading entrepreneurship magazine "Entrepreneur".
    Since 2005, pioneering in the app store concept, GetJar provides app distribution to 450,000 developers, from one-man shops to brands like Google, Microsoft and Facebook. As of April 2012, GetJar distributes 400,000 mobile applications and has served over 2.5 billion downloads. 

  • Chris Dury - Chief Executive Officer

    Chris Dury is CEO for GetJar. Prior to GetJar, Chris helped grow scanR, a mobile productivity service, from inception to millions of users. He also co-founded OneFone, a mobile virtual network operator. In addition, he held leadership positions at two VoIP startups, TalkingNets and Firetalk, and started his career at Intel. Chris holds a degree in Economics from Michigan State and an MBA from NYU's Stern School of Business.

  • Bill Scott - Senior Vice President of Sales & Business Development

    Bill is VP Sales & Business Development where he is responsible for all customer interface and partnerships. He joined the mobile data industry in 2000, as VP Latin America for Infospace. There he launched the region’s first mobile portals. Subsequently Bill held VP Latin America positions for Critical Path and Openwave. Bill is originally from Seattle, WA. He has a BA in Philosophy from Amherst College and an MBA from Harvard University.

  • Berenice Kalan - VP of (Int) Marketing

    Berenice is VP of (Int) Marketing and she manages all Marketing, PR and Developer Relations for GetJar. She is based in the UK but can often be found in sunny California. Berenice has spent the past 20 years working in marketing. She began her career in the music business where she worked for PolyGram and Warner Music. She then moved into the film industry and worked for Warner Bros and Universal Pictures. For the past 7 years she has worked in mobile for games publishers EA Mobile, Glu and I-play. Originally from Leeds she graduated from Westminster University with a BA (Hons) Degree in Business Studies.

  • Joseph Molnar - Senior Vice President of Engineering

    Joseph manages GetJar's software development, quality assurance and operations teams. Prior to GetJar he was a Partner Architect at Microsoft where he lead a variety of forward looking efforts for Xbox LIVE.  Joe has held leadership positions at scanR and iPIX and founded two profitable companies. Since 1996 he has been building systems designed for the Internet including  large scale photo-hosting, online commerce, vertically focused social networking, and mobile productivity services, while working with leading brands including eBay, Ferrari, Eli Lilly and IDEO.

  • Tom Burke - Chief Financial Officer

    Tom has 18 years’ experience in finance, in sectors including energy, media, software, and broadband. Most recently, Tom was VP of Finance for Sana Security, sold in Jan `09 to AVG Grisoft. Before joining Sana, Tom was Directeur Financier for Musiwave, a 180-person mobile music provider in Paris. Rounding out his experience are positions as Manager, Project Economics with Exxon Mobil in Singapore; Sr Finance Manager with Excite@Home; and Finance Director at Openwave, Tom studied Economics at The University of Virginia, and received his MBA from the University of North Carolina (Kenan-Flagler). When outside the office, Tom can be found on his bike, skis, and trail running shoes.
