There is a continuing increase in the number of drugs that may damage the respiratory system, in a number of different ways. The Pneumotox website and attached database are a free access resource in this area (www.pneumotox.com). The website contains regularly updated information on drug induced respiratory disease (DILD). Aim: in order to improve the availability of Pneumotox at the bedside, point of care or outpatient visit facilities, we developed a personal digital assistant (PDA)-based software program fed with the Pneumotox data. Because of the limitations inherent to large databases on PDAs and smartphones , the software architecture was optimized for quick access and readability on a screen with limited surface area. This program has been made in cooperation with Pascal Foucher, Philippe Camus and the GEPPI (Groupe d'Etudes de la Pathologie Pulmonaire Iatrogène)of Department of Pulmonary Diseases and Intensive Care Unit.
