Version 1.2 OUT NOW! Lots of improvements (zooming, increased speed, multiple VFS card support, etc.) and a lot more stable (especially on the T3)! Read the update description at the bottom of this page for a full overview of all changes.

What is Wave Edit Pro?
  • A full-fledged sound studio and advanced wave editor/player for Palm OS5 devices!
  • The first Palm utility allowing full editing of digital sound!
  • Ideal for recording, editing, playing, merging, and cutting!
  • Ability to work with a variety of data:
    • Recordings made directly in the program.
    • Voice memos recorded in the standard "Voice memo" application.
    • Any wave sample that you transfer from your stationary computer to your Palm device.

Requirements: The minimum requirement is a high resolution Palm OS5 device. To be able to load and save samples you will also need a memory expansion card.

Supported devices: Tungsten T, T2, T3, C, E, and Zire71. Limited support for Sony UX-50.
Unsupported devices: Treo600, and the majority of Sony Clie devices.


Features of Wave Edit Pro include but are not limited to:

  • Load and Save compressed (IMA/DVI ADPCM) and uncompressed Wav sound files from an expansion card.
    • Mono/Stereo, 8-bit/16-bit, any sample rate
  • Full editing capabilities:
    • Copy, Cut, Paste, Delete, Undo
  • Transformation effects:
    • Reverse, Amplify, Fade, Noise Reduction
  • Recording ability (at any available sample rate).

  • Zooming ability (as of version 1.2). 2x to 128x zoom.

  • Full Wave file navigator:
    • Load/Save, Rename/Delete, File Info
  • Great-looking, yet powerful and intuitive graphical interface (as seen on these pages).
And more to come! Planned new features include skin support, RAM load&save, stereo ADPCM load&save, and direct editing on the SD card!
