 | Sylvius MR is a groundbreaking medical reference product designed to provide students and professionals with an intuitive, interactive and fully annotated MRI atlas of the human brain on your iPhone or iPod touch. These images, together with the annotations and structure pronunciations, are adapted from Sylvius4, the newly-expanded benchmark desktop application for exploring and understanding the anatomy of the human central nervous system. With Sylvius MR in hand, you can section through the brain and navigate across images with the flick of a finger, pinch to zoom, and tap to build or test your knowledge of essential neuroanatomical structures. For every labeled brain component, there is concise text that describes the structure and its functional significance. Bookmark images for further study, enter quiz mode to test yourself on what you know, or tap to perform a web search for access to more information. Additional features include: • a comprehensive index that can be searched and used to localize any structure identified in the image set • ability to toggle pins on and off to explore the images with or without annotation • all content is locally stored on your device for anytime, anywhere access; and • instantly look up structures on Google (requires network connection). Sylvius MR features over 80 fully-annotated serial, T1-weighted magnetic resonance (MR) images in each principal anatomical plane, including: • 31 axial images; • 40 coronal images; • 17 sagittal images; and • 130 annotated neuroanatomical structures.
