1. Introduction

Liner is a board game. It originates from school notebooks and is known only as a soccer game called “Paper Soccer”. But the Liner game contains not only soccer. It offers 61 playgrounds of 18 sports and not only golden goal rules.

Work on the game is still going. Since version 1.0.1 you can use an eco display. It is characterized by lower energy consumption. Version 1.0.1 also introduced a movements register. It is used to undo movements. From version 1.0.2 Liner is also available for Blackberry Storm under the name Liner S. Versions 1.0.3 and 1.0.4 introduce new sports and new playgrounds.

You need only buy Liner once; all upgrades are free.

2. Rules

There are three types of playgrounds: playgrounds with goals, playgrounds with a net and football. Playgrounds with goals are: basketball, field hockey, handball, ice hockey, soccer, water polo. Playgrounds with a net are: badminton, lawn tennis, table tennis, volleyball.

Lead the ball to goals (a playground with goals) or out of the playground on your opponent's half (net playgrounds). Use thick lines (made movements), spots, goals or borders to rebound. When you cannot rebound, your opponent starts to move. Wait until he ends his turn.

You cannot repeat any movement.

The ball changes its color. Move when the ball is red. When it's blue, your opponent moves. The default game type is the score game.

2. 1. Golden goal game

Try to score a goal as the first and you win. When your opponent scores a goal as the first, you lose. A player who is blocked, also lose.

2. 2. Score game

A player with more points, wins. When a player is blocked, he loses a point. The game ends when there is no more start points to use. Playgrounds have different amount of start points. For instance, ice hockey has only one points to start from and volleyball has tree or more.

2. 3. Points of winning

Your points of winning are usually marked on your opponent's color. Sometimes the points of winning are next to points marked on a playground or inside a goal.

3. Opponents

There are five AI opponents: Center, Tank, Tank Improved, Miner and Miner Carbon.

4. Orientation and zoom

You can change your screen orientation choosing horizontal or vertical one or your zoom to improve your screen visibility. The default orientation is the vertical one and the default zoom is 1.5x.

5. Reconnaissance mode

The reconnaissance mode helps to scroll your playground. Press # to start this mode. Then press movement keys to scroll your playground. When you want to stop the reconnaissance mode just press # again.
