Works as advertised. I needed a simple text file reader. It's a bit of a pain to go through modifying the Jar and Jad file but better than nothing. It's too bad (at least for this phone) I cannot simply upload a text file and use the reader to access it. The response time is a bit slow but it could be with my phone. Noticed that blank lines are removed but it could be the text file itself. Instructions: Assumptions: Windows XP 1. rename bookreader.jar to bookreader.zip 2. open zip file using Windows built-in Zip file reader 3. copy text file (I renamed it to textfile3.txt not sure if any file name will work or not) into zip file. 4. close zip file (this will save the modified zip) 5. rename bookreader.zip to bookreader.jar 6. open DOS prompt and browse to location of this zip file 7. determine exact file size of bookreader.jar (dir bookreader*) 8. open bookreader.jad using notepad 9. look for MIDlet-Jar-Size: 25923 and change the 25923 to whatever the file size is for bookreader.jar. Do not add spaces at end of file size. 10. save changes to bookreader.jad 11. upload to phone and follow whatever steps is needed to install app on your phone

Once you have this bit of software, you started to wonder how you ever managed without it. The number of books available form Gutenburg and other free sites is amazing. You can make a book out of any plain text document. This is great because Adobe docs can be read too - just open then save as plain text and then you can use the program to make a book readable by even a low end mobile out of it. Feels like you have a smartphone. One very small thing I would change, and this is probably something to do with my not setting it up right rather than the program, text does not quite format correctly - there are gaps [white space] at the end of line that doesn't need to be there. This is not on every line, but every now and then and it doesn't really matter. I have enjoyed scores of books on my phone thans to Tequilacat. Thank you.

Impressed, but one thing I do not seem to be able to change the font-size. The default font is way too small, really hurts my eyes, and the phone's own font (pressing # 3 times in the app) is a bit too big, need to scroll all the time. Is it possible to modify the default app font size?

Good application. Very useful. However, I couldn`t put more than 1 book on my phone, which is a nokia 6230i. My phone indicates a error where it said, "Invalid Application," after I installed another book.
