There are only 2 good gps navigational apps out there right now for free. Amazegps and mgmaps. Mgmaps does not provide voice guidance but it provides everything else. Can be made to work offline with maps that are easy to make by yourself. I was successful with keeping a map size under 100mb or my phone would begin to lag. Nice GUI, all kinds of maps and functions. And if you need a navigational gps app and you dont have data this is the one and only for you. Download from their site to get the newest version.
this works really well on my old k800i mobile. Absolutely love it because no other MAP programme seems to work on my phone ...thanks guys..u did a great job!!
AWESOME application! The cache feature is amazing and now I can download all the maps that I want, put them inside my mobile card and I don't have to pay GPRS usage!
A very nice programme indeed! Great work developers!!! It works spotlessly on my SE 910i. What makes this app. stand out I think is it's ability to use previously downloaded maps in offline mode. Will be exciting to see what's coming next.
This application works albeit v slowly. Tuning info might help, but it is significantly slower than navfun
Can mgmaps v 1.28 be used with only external GPS receiver without internet connection? can version 1.28 load stored map (generated using gMapMaker)?
No, you need MGMaps version >=1.35 for using maps without an internet connection.
I am not able to get my position on Map, rest i can see map. Can you please suggest as how to locate myself on maps. Which version support Z550i best. Thanks
The Z550i does not have a built-in GPS, that's why the application can't find you on the map.
This works on P1i but it needs internet. I dont think P1i has internal GPS. I'm not sure. How do i get external gps? What is this GPS on Bluetooth? I want to use this software without internet coz i dont hv GPRS connection. Pls suggest..
You can use the software with offline maps (without an internet connection), get the latest version v1.39 from GetJar or www.mgmaps.com then see the instructions on the MGMaps forum at http://forum.mgmaps.com/viewtopic.php?t=725 .
Does it work on HTC TYTN? And does it have maps for Finland?

Ahh, this is really a very good program. Now I always have a good map in my pocket. :-) But I have a question, is it possible to connect an external GPS to my mobile phone? And what model is that?
Generally Mobile GMaps supports any external GPS receiver over bluetooth, but since your phone doesn't have bluetooth that will not work.
