This program can be used to simply read aloud for you (useful to people with sight problems or blind) or to translate text too. Both functions can be combined as well (translate and reead aloud the result, for example)

NOTE: Requires a Java-enabled phone which supports interfacing to the camera. If you want to listen to the result, make sure your phone has mp3 capabilities.

How it works: you take a picture with the camera in your cellphone. ReadIt uploads the image to our servers which will perform an Optical Character Recognition of the text. Optionally we will perform text translation (if requested). The result can be this final text or we can perform a text-to-speech conversion on it to reply an mp3 back (meaning you have the convenience of a person reading aloud for you).
