About mCalc v1.0:

mCalc is a "floating" scalable calculator combining a standard calculator and functions of Tax calculation and Currency Conversion. With mCalc you can perfom calculations "on the fly" over the active application! When you are finished with the calculation, you are back to your application with just one tap. mCalc icon in Command Bar makes mCalc easily accessible as never before!

Installation procedure:

Click the program sign on your desktop and follow the common instructions. Installation will be done automatically.

Description:

After installation, the mCalc icon will appear in the lower right corner of the screen near to the keyboard sign. This useful function lets you make the calculator accessible from any application, which doesn’t work in full-screen mode. For example, working in Pocket Excel, you can make calculations “on the fly” and, using Copy/Paste functions, insert results from mCalc directly to the table and the other way round. With scaling buttons you can set a convenient size of mCalc on your screen. The results of calculations can be inserted directly into external applications, which support Copy/Paste function. To do it, place the stylus on the calculator’s display and hold it there for some time (tap&hold operation)

Settings tab:

This tab can be accessed using Set button on the calculator’s panel.

TAX RATE - field for entering TAX value.

Currency1 and Currency2 - fields for choosing currencies to be calculated and entering their Rate

Currencies tab:

On the Currencies tab, there is a list of currencies. Adding, deleting or editing currencies in the list is possible using Add, Delete or Edit buttons respectively. Important! For currencies of EU members, their rate is to be set relative to EURO, but in the main list of currencies in Settings and Currencies tabs their rate relative to the US Dollar is shown. This is ormal. For EU currencies (shown in blue color), the Rate field in Settings tab will be disabled for editing, as well as the Rate field in Add/Edit Currency dialog, if EU (Euro Currency) flag is set. To enable this field for editing, the EU flag has to be unset. Please keep in mind that for Euro Currencies their conversion rates between them and the EURO will be irrevocably fixed

at the latest December 31, 1998. After this date, the only currency, which will fluctuate, is the EURO.

Properties tab:

Register to StartUp - run mCalc when Windows starts up;

Always On Top - set a mode when mCalc is constantly shown on top of active application;

Icon in Command Bar - to turn on and off mCalc icon in Command Bar. If this option is turned off, then mCalc works as a common application, the Close button closes mCalc without placing its icon in Command Bar.

LCD Color - allows you to choose a color of the LCD display.

Tax calculations: In this mode you can easy and quickly perform calculation of amount plus tax, amount less tax, and total tax amount. Tax Rate settings: to set a Tax Rate, press the Set button and set a value in “Tax Rate, %” field. Press OK. Now just pressing TAX+ or TAX- you can calculate amount plus tax, amount less tax, and total tax amount. Pressing TAX+ (or TAX-) for the first time will return amount plus tax (amount less tax), second – TAX amount.  Currency Exchange mode:  With this function you can quickly and easily convert between any two national currencies (including Euro) on one screen in any direction. Pressing the “Exc” button toggles between Calculator and Currency Exchange mode. In Currency Exchange mode the screen of the calculator is divided into two information strings, the “active” string, which is meant to enter the text, is highlighted with a special symbol. Any string can be set as “active” – upper or lower, depending on the direction of calculations. In this mode, as well as in the standard mode, the Copy/Paste function is available. List of currencies is accessible from this mode by tapping&holding on the currency’s symbol in any string, as well as from Settings menu (Set button).

Uninstallation note:

Close and exit mCalc before uninstallation.

mCalc is released as SHAREWARE (7-day trial period). If you find mCalc useful, you can register it at http://www.xcomsoft.com 

After you obtain you registration code:

Start mCalc 
Go to "About" tab and push “Registration” button. 
Enter required data and tap "OK" button 
You mCalc is now registered!
