| Trapster is a peer to peer speed trap alert/sharing network that allows users to collaborate to share warnings of speed trap locations. The database contains some locations of static traps (red light cameras and speed cameras), but the real value of the system is in detecting the location of live traps (live police with radar/laser). GPS is required for this MIDlet to run (either built in GPS or an external GPS puck). Trapster can also be used without this application (and without GPS). See site for more details. This version is signed with a Verisign certificate, and should work on a non-BlackBerry Java phone (for example it works with N95 and an ATT sim). BlackBerry and other versions are on the site. |
