I enter an URL with a valid MP3 file (I tested it before on my PC) but after "Connecting" and "Buffering" (68 B) it shows a message: "Couldn't open file. It can be a problem with the file name or a device error, select 'Help' for further instructions". I am using a WAP connection just to test the program, is it necesary to use a 3G connection (apart from the connection being slow)? I've tested several URLs with the same result. The directions are simple with no special characters. I would be thankful if you can help me.
Developer response | |
| Hi, I have tested the same setup, with K850i, it worked fine. It can be that your service provider's wap gateway doesn't support such transfer, so I would suggest you try using direct 3G/GPRS connection. Cheers, Tero Lindberg |

operation failed
Developer response | |
| You need to transfer both, jar and jad file to the device and then open the jad file. If this fails, open the jar file alone. Hutchinson is known to block third party applications so your phone might reject the software because of the certificate in jad file |
Samsung SGH E250

when i install it it says jar file not found
Developer response | |
| You need to transfer both of the files to your phone. And make sure the MIDlet-Jar-URL-parameter in jad file is pointing to the correct local jar. (This should be correct since you downloaded from getjar to your pc) |

i dont know where the file is located and how to install it
Developer response | |
| Did you receive some kind of an error message? If yes, try installing the jar file alone. If not, I'm not too familiar with the v3i, but it should be located at the same place your other applications/games are installed |

I am using Sony- Ericsson K750i, I successfully instaled this player but each time I want to add a song or play, it ask "Allow application to read user data?" i press yes but it dont play songs at all, it shows an error "Couldn't open file, it can be a problem with the file name or a divice error", I tried too configure permissions, but there you can just set "No" (prevent from reading user data) and "Always ask". I don't think it's players problem, but maybe someone knows how to make it work?
Developer response | |
| Hi, you need to install the application with the JAD file to be able to set "Always allow" to permissions. What comes to the "couldn't open file"-error, you could try removing any special characters from the file name or the folder names. |

Samsung SGH E570
On 2008 Mar 31 By Ed Syrett
Actually I have a Samsung SGH-E590, not listed, so I chose the next one up.
When I select a music file, I get the message: "This phone supports only the following files: midi, mpeg..." The message is wrong as I am selecting a .wma file which the phones music player app DOES play.
Developer response | |
| The demo version does only support mp3 files. Thanks for notifying, this might be platform's issue that the application doesn't get the full list of supported types or there could be an issue with the player. I'll check what we could do. |

When I purchase the non-demo version, will it allow me to download the jar file to my desktop first and then install to the phone? I ask this because my carrier has disabled direct installation from the Net through the phone. However, installation via the Nokia PC suite works just fine.
Developer response | |
| We do offer download to desktop upon special request |

Hi,
I've tested successfully the demo version but after downloading the full version, when I try to open a file, I get a message that said "this phone supports only following files : m4a,wb,mp4,amr,wav,mpeg3 ...."
So I don't understand what the matter whith the full version on my mobile ?
Developer response | |
| Hi, The program recognizes files by the file type, so if the file names end with one of the types listed in your error message, they are also played. |

I have problem while installing,Its Error " No Valid Certificate" which software will valid for Nokia 5300
Developer response | |
| Hi, Unfortunately your Nokia phone seems (certain versions of Nokia S40v5) has a problem in it, by going to Nokia service center and asking for a software upgrade you can fix this, also check that your device's time is set correctly. Other option is to install the software from your pc via bluetooth or usb. For full version, you can request a permission to download the software to your pc and we will give you the instructions how to. |

When I play the music the application shows a message "Sounds are not enabled"
Developer response | |
| Do you have the sounds enabled? It can be missleading, but this message can also be seen if some other problem happens with the phone's player interface. |

Hi, i'm using motorazr v3i, i installed glass player demo, but it says "You need to allow access to file sys" i've given all the permissions for the app, but it still doesn't work, please help
Developer response | |
| The application needs file system access to browse your mp3s. You should be able to edit the permissions from your phone's application settings. In a short while (with in a week) we should be having an update to get rid of the queries. |

IT SHOWING A MESSAGE
"YOU NEED TO ALLOW ACCESS TO FILE SYSTEM!"
Developer response | |
| Go to your platform's application settings and enable file system access. On some platform variants (different providers) this could not be possible. Choose something like "always allow" or "ask once" |
Motorola KZRK K1
On 2008 Jan 30 By kris
The application installed but then returned an error of - 'You need to allow access to the file system', after the application has loaded.
Running from memory card.
No certification is Security certificate Management.
Developer response | |
| Hi, Since the application is not signed, you need to go to platform's application settings to enable file access. The possible choices look something like "always allow, ask once, never allow." After enabling the file access you should be able to browse the file system from the app to find the mp3 files. |
