The software seems functional, neat and impressive. However, the I originally downloaded this software for enabling mobile last.fm scrobbling, but the feature didn't seem to work without a Strands account. What makes this problematic is that Strands is in a closed-only beta, so even if you may be able to play tracks online, you cannot scrobble them unless you get invited for a beta test drive.
Should I one day receive a working Strands account, I'll gladly update my opinion.
(I actually tried the software on Nokia E71 but the select options didn't include that one.)

Yes you can use it in offline mode, but then you will only be able to play music. No recommendations, no friends, no messages...

You should setup an Internet access point in settings of the phone (no WAP!). Hope it helps you.
