Product launches correctly by external map does not show (external .img file installed on the mass memory at root: E:mariomyfile.img
Developer response | |
| Hi! First you must check if the .img files are valid. Mario advisor 0.5 supports the Garmin "classical" unlocked file. This is the prefered format used to build custom maps around the web. Garmin itself uses it for several products: *Metroguide Canada, Australia (and discontinued North America, Europe) *WorldMap Locked files are not supported at the moment (version 0.6 will) so you can't use maps extracted from "City Navigator" products. Also unsupported are the charts with several maps compiled into a single file (not very common, large size). If the maps is right, you must check midlet permissions. To work properly, set to "Ask every time" the fields "Read user data" and "Edit user data" (in S60 phones go to Installations-App.mgr.-Installed Apps.-Mario_Advisor-Options-Open). Last but no least, when loading custom files, you must move the pointer to the area where the map is. You can set "Overview Map detail" to -1 to easily find it. Regards. |
