Time Machine

Time Machine provides Clock, Alarm, Stopwatch and Timer functionality for Symbian Nokia S60 mobile phones. With Time Machine you can check time of any city in the world, count time or get reminded about something. World clock displays time for selected cities with automatic daylight savings time calculation. Alarms can be used to schedule recurring alarms with configurable days of a week or option to recur after every configured number of weeks, months. The flexibility of Alarms provides multi-purpose use like taking medicines on time, or attending your class on time, or remembering to buy gift for your friends anniversary. Stopwatches can be used for recording time spent on some specific activities or simply record swimming or racing lap times. Timers can be used for timely reminders and can save you from a parking ticket, or toasting a recipe

    • Installation

    Time Machine is offered for 10 days free evaluation. Just download the application file and install it either using Nokia PC Suite or just copy installation file to your phone and run it. Start the application and from the menu page select options->settings. Select a sound file and select back. The application is ready for use.

    Notes

    Sound Customization - Alarm and timer sounds can be customized or can be set to use the default setting on the menu page. Volume and ascending sound can be set in the menu settings page. Following formats are supported *.mp3, *.mid, *.aac, *.wav, *.mxmf, *.amr from Sounds and SoundsDigital sub-folders of C:Nokia, E: and Z:Nokia (where C: is phone memory, E: is storage card and Z: is operating system).

    Run in background - The Done button send the application to background to minimize resource utilization. If you exit the application completely using the options-exit, you will not receive any notifications

    Auto Start - The application auto starts itself in the background after a 45 seconds delay when phone is restarted. This can be disabled from the menu settings page

    FAQ

    Q. I get a warning about unknown supplier during installation. Should I still go ahead and install the application?
    A. Yes. The warning is displayed as this application is not officially signed by Symbian. Symbian signing is an expensive and time consuming process. So, please ignore the unknown supplier warning while installation.

    Q. What about phones not listed in the compatible phones listing? Will it cause any issues?
    A. Phones listed are Symbian Series 60 Version 2 phones and this software will work with these phones. However, If you face issues, let me know and I will make the required changes in the application

    Q. I have found an issue with the application. What should I do?
    A. Notify me and I will look into the matter and resolve it. Please be kind to send me the exact steps that happened just before the occurrence of the issue

    Q. I lost my phone data due to the use of this application. What should I do?
    A. This application does not access any user data that is on your phone. However, to avoid data loss, I request you to take backups of your critical data at regular intervals

    Q. How do I backup and restore the settings and data for Time Machine?
    A. Just backup the file C:SystemAppsTimingTiming.ini file. Exit the application before restoring the ini file

    Q. When an alarm goes off, I see the notification but no sounds are played, what should I do?
    A. Make sure that the sound file for this application is correctly setup on the menu settings page

    Q. How do I get notified of future releases?
    A. You will be notified on the email address used for registration process

    This update is excellent. Some important features are now added such as: vibration & silent modes are supported as per profile setting. Always needed that as I sometimes i put my phone on vibration in a meeting & get suprised by alarm sound, I had to close the app., now, there is no need for that, just get your phone into vibration or silent & the alarm will get in too...

    I love it and found the Clock, Alarm and Stop Watch and the Timer very useful. For the clock settings addition of searh utility in the TimeZone would be helpful. More over a better way to describe Time Zone Calcutta(Asia) would be Calcutta (India). There may be other Time Zone names that needs improvement.

    Very usefull software. little dificult 2 configure since Sri lanka was not on the list. Some tones in the software not working. but all-in-all very gud. Still working with freeware.

    Nice software, but my problem with this software is that it drained battery really quick. Normally my battery would last 3-4 days, but it only lasts me for 1 or 1.5 days when this software was installed. Even with v1.6, the problem still exists.

    I really like the features of this software, and hope to see improvement or find a work-around on this problem.

    Very good.
    Easy to use, enough function, fair price.
    It can work together with phone`s original alarm.
    Unfortunately, this application runs as an application (and needs to be waiking up), eg, you may miss your appoints when you quit Time Machine on your phone.

    Only brought the Nokia 6630 a couple of weeks ago, realised within a day that the default alarm was next to useless. Searched the web for alternatives, tried several, before finding Time Machine. This has everything, one time alarms, multiday alarms, recurring alarms etc. It was the ability to set an alarm for different days of the week that sold it to me. I homework one day a week I don`t need to be woken up at 6:30am when I don`t need to catch the train to work. Excellent piece of software.

    Great application - one feature that made me choose this over other apps was the capability to set recurring alarms after selected number of weeks - it`s great if you have bi-weekly reminders.

    For a long time I looked for this kind of tool, on my computar or in a real clock. Now i`ve just found it in my cell, with the Time Machine.
    I`m using the alarm feature to control my baby`s feeds time.
    And for work`s alarms i can disable it for the weekend or holidays. Very nice tool.

    Great program mate. You have done what Nokia couldn`t be stuffed doing by providing a good Alarm/Reminder Application! So far in the couple of weeks I had it, I haven`t forgotten to do a single thing!
