SMOB (stands for Simone Messenger Over Bluetooth) is a simple messenger over Bluetooth. SMOB is written by Simone Pernice, pernice@libero.it I tested it on Motorola E1070 but it should work on every J2ME (JSR82 compliant) phone. SMOB is under GNU GPL licence. Starting the program a list of the close people running SMOB at the time is showed. Use BEEPS ON/OFF to turn on/off the beeps for incoming messages. Use FIND to update that list. Select the contact you want to talk to then send a message with SEND, close the comunication with END. SMOB works great on my motorola razr v6 as well as on the kids diferent motorola phones (ie. v360, L6 etc). Only problem was we had to have app open and running on both phones for this to work. We got around this by changing the name of any song or photo to" SMOB now" and sent it by bluetooth to the person we wanted to chat to. They then knew to open the application for chat. The program is used regularly between my children and their friends next door in this way. Good work. It's good to have a program that doesn't ask for internet access just so we can use it!!!

Good light app. Shame you have to find devices that USES this program as well. You could develop an app wich sends messages to deviced without the need to have this app as well. But good work!

ok i found out the reason why nokia users cant use it.
