| Unfortunately both the Nokia 6610 and 7210 are MIDP 1.0 phones which do not provide the functionality required by NetDetect. |

NetDetect needs access to the data network (eg GPRS or EDGE). Mobile phones may require some additional settings to allow this (available from the network provider).
You must also allow the application to access the network. This can be done via the menu used to run the application, eg. application access - communication - netrwork access or Application - Permissions - Internet access.

NetDetect installed easily. After several attempts, the app finally started. I live in the Northeast USA (near Boston). i use Cingular. The app would not connect to Cingular. the error message "Network access denied" displayed.
Changing setting had no impact.
It is not clear whether I need to do anything else.
