Camera requirements

  • Whiteboards and notes: 1 megapixel or higher.
  • Documents, books, newspapers: 2 megapixel or higher.
  • Business cards: 2 megapixel or higher with autofocus.
scanR is working on support for more phone models. If your model is not supported, you can email pictures directly from your phone. Go to m.scanR.com on your mobile phone for more information.


scanR requires data connectivity from your wireless carrier, which may charge additional fees. If you use scanR often, we recommend you get an unlimited data plan.

Piece of crap. I selected my exact phone model (Nokia E61i) before installing. Ran it, followed the tutorial to take a picture, then started getting "Unsupported phone" errors. I tried to email the snapshot to myself as a test but the item disappeared from the Outbox and ended up in the void. Tried again from the start, and the app crashed right after taking a picture. Reasons for low review: Unstable, unclear device support, confusing UI options. It did not deliver any of the promised functionality. I deleted it right away.

its works well but simply allows you to send/ fax a picture of the document of what ever you are taking a picture off. i dont see a feature in the menu that will allow you to FAX a document that you have recieved by email or is in your email folder. i can already send pix by email or MMS so it dosent malke sense to pay $

i couldnt get it to work except with the standard scanned pic included ti wouldnt acess my phones files despite setting permissions the scans get sent through a web site using your wap connection
