PocketWeb - a real web browser in your pocket Check your online auctions on the go
PocketWeb saves you connection feesPocketWeb minimizes data traffic. Only data that can be displayed on your phone is really loaded: images are scaled to your device`s screen size before downloading. HTML code is optimized and compressed before downloading, resulting in up to 70% smaller file sizes. Moreover, pages are downloaded incrementally in smaller pieces, so you can decide after the first piece whether you like to load the rest.These features are realized using a proxy server which preprocesses all content before sending it to the phone. This way, connection fees are much lower compared to other stand-alone WAP, HTML, or RSS readers. This product may not work correctly or not work at all on some older or less powerful devices with low heap memory. A list of known incompatible devices can be found in the support area on www.tlogic.de . Version info: Users having an unlimited mobile data plan might want to check out News T'Go, the free ad-supported full version of PocketWeb. News T'Go does not require an unlock key.

i found this application to be extremely slow, even on my nokia e71, unresponsive & often coming up with connection errors for no apparent reason. opera mini works fine however, so i'd recommend you use opera because it's the only Mobile browser to actually work perfectly on a vast majority of Mobile phones. pocketweb is rubbish.

The whole prgram opens and everythin but when trying to enter a page it tells me my cookies is not enable, even though it has been enabled in phone setting and in the software settings itself.

My rating was not determined by the application, but on how it works with the C207. I have had issues with this phone`s use of Java2 before (probably why Cingular discontinued it), and this app was no exception. It was not able to reach the server when I tried to use the HTTP function. I`m sure it`s okay if your phone is setup to the internet, but so far I can only get the C207 to use WAP.

This application does not run on the Toshiba VM4050 at all. I installed it , got a temporary key, and entered it; but when I try to go to any URL at all, nothing happens.

Concerning paragraph 6 of the Terms of Use (in regard to previous user review): It is necessary to store some usage data to keep the service running, for example to track the proxy server load or to prevent unauthorized usage. It is NOT stored which URLs are viewed by the users, nor are any data (e.g. email adresses) given to third parties (which would be prohibited by the mentioned regulations, by the way).
