Definately more effective than Gmap for quick place finder. Maps need some updates and does need wap access - dont have gps to test

Current version of of amAze is 4.5, not 4.2. App downloaded and installed smoothly. For truly freeware, it is quite impressive. However, the user interface is somewhat clunky compared to Google Maps. It takes a lot more clicking around, choosing fields, selecting this and that to enter the data and navigate through the app. I found I made many mistakes entering data and navigating the app, even after playing with it for 30 minutes or so. Functionally, it is good. But it needs a much better UI.

This app worked fine for my w580i, I paid $7 for the unlimited web browsing from t-mobile and it works like a charm. I have no idea when people say that you have to pay for the map, I've been using it with my BT GPS, very fast for even on EDGE network. The only complain I have is the menu is a bit confusing, other than that, it's awesome for a free GPS software.

Maps can not be downloaded to the phone. You need a dataconnection to download map data, so this software is only usefulle if you a) have datacommunication in your phonecontract and b)are willing to pay for the maps
