The plot is completely invented by the creators and not based on the movie Batman. As you probably know the Joker fell from the roof of a high bell tower to his death, but not in this game. Somehow, miraculously, he was able to survive and now wants to get even with Batman and subjugate the entire city of Gotham. The main innovation in this game can be considered arms of the protagonist. Now, instead of betarangi, harpoons and unarmed combat Batman would use various fantastic firearm. As has happened traditionally, in the end of each level you will meet with one of the bosses, and in the final with by the Joker.
