The titular teenagers are the characters the players assume control of in the game, supported by mysterious Zordon. The heroes have to face the forces of evil represented by the ominous Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd - they want to destroy the Earth and try to achieve it by sending in more and more powerful monsters. The game offers five characters the fans of the TV series are familiar with - the heroes differ both in terms of their weapons and special abilities. The player is required mainly to eliminate subsequent enemies and bosses with melee weapons and advanced attacks based on various martial arts. The game comes with cartoonish 2D visuals referring to the aesthetics popular in the 1990s. Both music and dialogues were taken from the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers TV series.
