FreeBoth a flash card and a quiz tool, TOPIK Locker is designed to help enthusiasts and beginners alike, learn and recognize the basic Korean characters through clever repetition and memorization of the 6,000 most commonly and frequently used Korean characters.
The six thousand words are based on the official Korean word list as released by the National Institute of Korean Language (국립국어원), the South Korean government language regulatory body and is widely used as the foundation in preparation for the TOPIK exam (Test Of Proficiency In Korean).
For this app, the 6,000 characters are separated to 6 distinct levels in order of increasing complexity. The app starts with only characters from level 1 whether for flashcard or quiz. As the user gain familiarity of the existing characters, the app will adjust the word list to gradually include characters from subsequent levels, i.e. one by one, from level 2 to level 6.
