Bhagavad Gita is a religious scriptural conversation between Shri Krishna and His disciple - Arjuna. It appears in chapters 23–40 of the 6th book of Mahabharata. Krishna had to instruct Arjuna to fight the great battle at Kurukshetra called Mahabharata and thus He devised these instructions to be followed in its totality. It can be broadly divided in to 3 sections:
1. Chapter 1 to 6 on Meditation and the popular word ‘Yoga’
2. Chapter 7 to 12 on Devotion and Love of God
3. Chapter 13 to 18 on Existence and Components of Creation
