Professional Wrestling is a form of a sport as well as it is an ‘art performance’. The sport being very common in Japan and North American Countries, it exhibits a unique style and set of characteristics in each country. Each wrestling match is ostensibly a competition of athletics and strategy. Over the years, Professional Wrestling has developed its own culture. It has grown as a sport as well as it has shown considerable growth commercially. Each match or a championship is pre-arranged with a ‘concept’ or with some fictitious story involving interesting characters by the Promotion, a business that manages the regular shows of professional wrestling. This makes it extremely exciting and entertaining for the audience watching the matches either live or on a television. Like all the other major sports, Professional Wrestling as accrued a considerable amount of slang, in-references, and jargon.
