FreeLegend of Legaia (レガイア伝説, Regaia Densetsu) is the first installment in the Legaia series, produced by Contrail, Inc. and developed by Prokion Ltd. in 1998. The original script was written by Hidenori Shibao, the game being directed by Kazuhiro Kobayashi and produced by Takahiro Kaneko. Legend of Legaia is a fully 3D RPG, being almost entirely rendered in polygons, with the exception of some two-dimensional backdrops. It features turn-based RPG gameplay with a twist based on fighting games, including Japanese character voices during battle and a unique storyline.
