Tapsody is the first music player to use a completely eyes-free, gesture-based interface. The app is designed for situations when you can’t look at your phone screen – during activities or exercise or in bright sunlight when the screen is hard to read. Tapsody works with your installed music library and your installed text-to-speech engine. The app does not use speech recognition which is error-prone. The app reads aloud your selections as you swipe through your music library or plays short tones during rapid browsing so you can flip through your music as fast as your fingers can go. The screen is divided vertically into two touch ‘zones’ making it virtually impossible to input a wrong command. Select artists and songs using swipe and touch gestures on the left two-thirds of the screen. Tap the right side of the screen to play and pause songs.
