FreeLeaf Animals is based in Egypt and works to re-home and find new homes for the countless animals in need. We work to alleviate the pressure on rescue centres, individuals and organisations, as well as bring awareness to the benefits of adopting, fostering and sponsoring.
Founders Amina El Shazly and Tanya El Kashef are passionate about animal welfare and saw an opportunity to make a difference via an online platform. Amina completed her masters on Egyptian Baladi dogs in 2019 and soon after Leaf Animals was launched.
Each founder has rescued and fostered multiple animals over the years, which afforded them first hand experiences and a deeper understanding of the process. Collectively, they have seven animals at home and work continually to create awareness as well as educate themselves on the latest theories and practices in the field.
