Lee Jong-suk (이종석, born 14 September 1989) is a South Korean actor and model. He debuted in 2005 as a runway model, and began his acting career in the 2009 Short Film Sympathy. He is best known for his leading roles in School 2013 (2012), I Can Hear Your Voice (2013) and Doctor Stranger (2014). In 2013, Lee ranked respectively in fifth place according to a survey entitled 'Actors Who Lit Up 2013' by Gallup Korea, one of the most recognized awards in Korea for the entertainment industry. Lee Jong-suk stood at the age of 15 on the Seoul Collection catwalks, becoming the youngest male model in 2005. During those years he worked as a model, he was praised by many as "a model who had the image of a boy and a grown man coexisting inside him". Before debuting as an actor, he prepared to debut as an idol group member. He stated that he prepared as an idol group member for three months and had signed with the agency because it said it would help him act.
