FreeBible Flash Card is an Android widget that displays a Bible verse from a list created by you. Think of it as a "verse of the day" widget, except you get to choose the verses to show, and you also get to chose how frequently to change the verse that is shown.
Your start by making a list of verses using the provided app. The widget randomly selects a verse from this list to show. The app has an ESV lookup feature that searches the online ESV Bible to fill in the text of the verse. If you prefer a difference version of the Bible, you can simply type in the text yourself. The app is also smart enough to recognize partial book names. So, you can type verse references such as "1 The 2:14-16", "Rev 1:20", "Ps 23:1,4-6", etc.
I wrote the app as a scripture memorization tool. With the widget on my home screen, I see a different verse from the list throughout the day.
