Got7 (Korean: 갓세븐; romanized as Gatsebeun; stylized as GOT7) is a hip hop boy group based in South Korea. Formed by JYP Entertainment in 16 January 2014, Got7 comprises seven members, consisting of leader JB, Mark, Jr., Jackson, Youngjae, Bambam and Yugyeom. Two of the members, JB and Jr., originally debuted as the pop duo JJ Project in 2012.
The group made their official debut on January 16, 2014 through Mnet’s M! Countdown, performing their debut single “Girls Girls Girls.” Their debut EP, Got It?, was released four days later. On October 22, 2014, they debuted in Japan with the release of their first Japanese single, “Around the World.”
On January 10, 2014 (KST), JYP released Got7’s first debut teaser video on YouTube, followed by the second debut teaser video on January 13 (KST). On January 15, Got7 released a YouTube music video for their debut song “Girls, Girls, Girls.” Their debut showcase, the “Garage Showcase”, was held that same day.
